Merrimack Valley Association

The American Baptist women of Merrimack Valley celebrated the coming of Advent with a lovely evening of Faith, Fellowship, and Fun. The ladies of First Baptist, Tewksbury outdid themselves this year hosting our gathering.  There were many, many cupcakes and cookies and goodies for everyone to enjoy.

In attendance were 54 people representing ten churches, our most in five years!  Devotions by Judy Durant, our carol sing, and our speaker Ms. Jena DiPinto giving her testimony on “Celebrating God thru Music and Singing” all gave us a glimpse of the true meaning of Christmas.  Also a record was the 761 knitted items!  And we collected 378 soaps, shampoos and other toiletries!  These were distributed to the Lowell Salvation Army and the Massachusetts Baptist Multicultural Ministries.

Our project, One Great Hour of Sharing, so far has collected $676.00 for Hurricane and Wildfire Relief.  If you would like to contribute to our project, please send you donation to our Treasurer, Mrs. Ruth Shaw, 3 Middle Road, Merrimac, MA 01860.

If you have not already done so, please send in your $10.00 assessment to Ruth Shaw.  Each church is asked to send this in to help pay for speakers and other expenses for our gatherings.

Our next gathering is a CHANGE IN DATE AND TIME!  We are celebrating with a Christmas Brunch on December 1, 2018 from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM. The place is to be determined.  We hope you can join us to  once again welcome the coming of Jesus Christ!
